“A NOTE FROM LAVONNE DOWNING MSN, APRN ABOUT COMPOUNDING AND MEDICATION SAFETY”

Per the Obesity Medication Association “…compounding pharmacies are regulated by State Boards of
Pharmacy and expected to comply with Current Good Manufacturing Practice (CGMP) requirements and
may receive compounding accreditation… clinicians should verify safeguards such that the source
anti-obesity medications and their formulations have undergone adequate clinical trial testing for
efficacy and safety.”

At HerClinic, we only utilize compounding pharmacies that meet rigorous safety and quality standards.
All compounding pharmacies that we do business with are FDA regulated, are in good standing with
their respective State Boards of Pharmacy, and follow strict standards regarding ingredient sourcing,
product testing, and safety monitoring.

Compounded medications are not associated with Novo Nordisk or Eli Lilly, nor their trademarked
brands or patented medicines. Due to the nature of compounding, compounded medications are not
FDA approved. However, all ingredients utilized by the pharmacies we do business with, in the
production of compounded medications are produced in FDA-regulated facilities, which are required to
demonstrate acceptable purity and quality.
